even the birds - alternate version

sneak peak behind the alternate version.

This pared back version of Even the Birds pulls the vocal harmonies and strings to the forefront for a more acoustic feel.

I wrote this song a year or so after moving to London, UK from the verdant lands of North Carolina. I was trying to grapple with living amidst a city of concrete. Noticing the song of a bird while out cycling one afternoon, a thought struck me. Even the birds sing in the city – little the habitat where you’d imagine a bird thriving. If they could still fulfill their purpose, so could I. My desire is that this song brings beauty and hope to those who listen, as we all courageously navigate the current times.
